Jun 07, 2024

Today we're going to be fitting a Go Kart Seat to a 2017 Tony cart Neo Cadet car, so please watch and enjoy. Okay, some of the tools for the job. Today we're going to have to use a battery drill or a normal drill if you've got one.

a 2017 Tony cart Neo Cadet car

If you haven't got a battery drill tape measure, a small Sharpie, a couple five millimeter Allen Keyser t bar, a t bar and an allen key, a couple of 13 mil ring spanners and some pointy nose pliers. Over here we've got various countersunk M8 bolts of various lengths and some nuts. We've also got the countersunk washers, spacers and wedge washers for setting the seat up. Okay, first things.

First we're going to grab a couple of bits of round bar, or you could use your 50 millimeter axles 30 millimeter axles, as long as you've got two of them and we're just going to roll them under the go kart. So you've got your go kart here on your trolley. If you just lift it up carefully, roll your two bars in.

Grab your new go kart seat with a flat bottom

Let's see if you go cut down like so and as long as they're sitting down like that, then you're all good. Once you've got your cart sitting on your parallel strips here on your trolley, it's time to put the seat in. Grab your new seat to be fitted to your go kart. This one here's got a flat bottom, so it's going to make it nice and easy.

If you don't have one with a flat bottom, you'll have to wedge up the back of the seat. Just put it in like so grab a piece of lead. Or here I'm just using a broken hammer and it's nice and heavy to just keep that sitting down on the parallel strip. Then grab your tape, measure and measure out from the front of the go kart to the front of the seat.

Now this here go kart and see I'm going to sit at 550 millimeters from the front of the go kart. Okay, now with the seat set at 550 millimeters from the front of the chassis rail now it's time to Mark the seat for the first two holes. Grab your Sharpie pen and your pointy nose pliers. Remove the tab either nib out of the pen.

How to drill your first holes with your battery drill

You will get dirty hands here and grab the nib of the textile in the pointy nose pliers, then with your textile, just mark the inside of your hole like so, without moving the go kart, and then go over to the other side and do the same. Now you're ready to drill your first holes. Okay, so now it's time to drill your holes. Grab your battery drill with your eight millimeter drill bit. Remove the white.

You can remove the seat out of the go kart now and then we're going to drill the holes. Use your foot to hold the seat line up the hole with the drill bit. Start slowly, make sure you're in the center and then finish off and then it's on to the other side.

So now you're ready to put the seat back in and mock it up with some bolts in the in the top only foreign by 40 countersunk cap screw here with the counter snack washer, two wedge washers and One M8 flare nut. So I've had a look at the seat and this is what I think is going to fit best.
